Are you doing meet-and-greets right now?

Not at the moment. Instead, we offer a complimentary 2–4 hour evaluation day for new pups. Drop-off and pick-up happen outside, and your dog gets the full Pup Pad experience while we make sure everyone's a good fit.

Question 2

What's required to board or daycare my dog?

Accepted Answer

Up-to-date vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, bordetella), current flea & tick prevention, and a friendly, social temperament. We're happy to work with mild fears or reactivity — just be upfront so we can set your pup up for success.

How many dogs do you take at once?

Our average day is about 15 dogs. That number gives every pup real one-on-one time, not warehouse-style care.

Question 4

Will my dog be in a kennel?

Accepted Answer

Only if needed. Puppies, dogs that aren't potty trained, and food-aggressive dogs get their own roomy 5x5 kennel for safety. Most pups spend the day rotating between the yard and the main living space, sleeping on couches and dog beds with the family.

Is your yard secure?

Yes. We have a double-fenced 2-acre property with underground no-dig fencing buried a foot deep, a steel front-door gate to prevent door-bolting, and security cameras inside and outside the home.

What size dogs do you take?

Any size and breed, as long as they're happy and social with other dogs. Past guests have ranged from 5 lb chihuahuas to 100+ lb shepherds.

How do I pay?

We send a digital invoice after each visit through our booking system at book.puppad.app. We also accept cash and check.

What if I have an intact pet?

Accepted Answer

Intact males 6+ months old are welcome at an additional $5 / day. Intact females are not accepted while in season. If a season starts during a stay already underway, a $20 / day fee applies until pickup.

What can my dog bring to their boarding stay?

Accepted Answer

Bring any food and medication your pup needs, plus a small comfort item if it helps them settle in. We can't guarantee that larger items, items that can't be laundered, or shared-toy/bone items will be used exclusively by your dog or returned in the same condition — so please send things you're comfortable with that risk.

Can my dog bring food that needs to be refrigerated or frozen?

Absolutely. We're happy to store, rotate, and serve refrigerated or frozen food, including homemade meals and raw diets. Just send clear instructions with the food so we follow your pup's normal routine.

What if my dog has special needs?

We have 22 years of experience with senior dogs, special-needs dogs, oral and injected medications, and first-aid/CPR. Tell us what your pup needs and we'll take it from there.

Do you train dogs?

Every pup in our care gets free training reinforcement throughout their stay — household manners, calm behavior, and basic obedience. We're not currently taking private training clients, but the dogs we board and daycare benefit from this every day.

Why can't I call you?

Katie's hands are full of dogs all day, and like a lot of small businesses we get a ton of spam calls — so most phone calls end up going to voicemail. A text gets a real reply, usually within 30 minutes. We're not responsible for missed phone calls but we'll move mountains for a text.
